Medical Malpractice

According to Ontario law, a legal claim for medical malpractice arises when a patient is injured by medical care that is not within the accepted standards of medical practice in the same or similar communities.

Sometimes a professional causes harm by being careless, ignorant, negligent, or untruthful. Misrepresentation, fraud and careless delivery of services and performance of technical or medical procedures are all examples of professional malpractice and negligence.

Physicians, nurses, dentists, other health care providers, hospitals and related medical organizations may be responsible for those losses.

At Beament Hebert Nicholson, we feel that we owe it to our clients and the medical community to have potential claims reviewed by experts who are both impartial and highly qualified. We pride ourselves on obtaining excellent experts and respecting their opinions.

If you have suffered a loss or injury and believe that professional wrongdoing was the cause or part of the cause, you may have a right to be paid for your losses.  We invite you to speak to our lawyers about whether you have been wronged by a professional, and what can be done to make it right.  This may include payment for pain and suffering, economic losses including past and future income, medical expenses, and more.

If you or someone you love believes they have been injured due to professional wrongdoing, please contact Beament Hebert Nicholson and ask to meet with one of our lawyers. We will meet with you, discuss your situation, and determine whether you have a case against those who are responsible for the injury or death.

NOTE: If you are considering taking any legal action, contact our office as soon as possible due to potential legal time limits for starting a lawsuit.
