Our Community

Our team at Nicholson Gluckstein Lawyers is always looking to extend a helping hand and to be engaged in our community. We are passionate about supporting those in need and are always looking for new initiatives. Below are some ways we are involved in our local community:

2021 Lead By Example Scholarship

We are proud to announce our Lead by Example Scholarship! Our firm highly values education and we are excited to give back to a student pursuing a higher education. This scholarship is an opportunity for students to share their experience as role models and the impacts they have made in their community.

The deadline for this scholarship is September 30, 2021. For more information on the application process and how to apply, please visit our scholarship page.

Compassion Fatigue 2021: A Community of Caring

Being compassionate is at the heart of who we are at Nicholson Gluckstein Lawyers. We are proud to be hosting our Compassion Fatigue Conference on Wednesday, May 12, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The theme of this year’s virtual conference is A Community of Caring and gives us a chance to honour the compassionate members of our community. They dedicate themselves to taking care of others. This year, our focus will be on self-care and resilience. Our speakers will be discussing ways to prevent burnout and offer up ways to practice mindfulness. To register for the event, click here!

Our firm values taking care of one’s mental health and understands the toll that COVID-19 has taken on many people in our community. We are proud to announce our #ColourMeHappy initiative where we are sending mindfulness colouring books to anyone who would like one for themselves or a loved one. It’s time to brighten up these dreary winter days with some fun and colour! This initiative will be running until March 8. To receive a colouring book, please fill out a form here.

The Walker Health Law Moot

The Walker Health Law Moot is a not-for-profit competition held for law students interested in health law, specifically medical negligence. This competition was created to provide law students with an opportunity to showcase their advocacy skills for skilled lawyers, judges, and medical professionals. This year, our firm is proud to sponsor this event. Senior Associate, Jan Marin, will be part of this event as a mock judge. The event will be taking place over Zoom on February 27 and 28. For more information, visit the Walker Health Law Moot website.
