On July 1, 2021, a set of reforms to the contingency fee regime came into effect. These reforms are intended to improve consumer protection through enhanced transparency, fairness and access to justice for clients. But what does this mean for law firms? On August 16, 2021, Nicholson Gluckstein Lawyers is hosting a 1-hour complimentary webinar to help law firms understand the new requirements and to support the legal community as our industry transitions. Medical negligence is an area of law that is not only highly complex, but poses many risks These cases are expensive to pursue, and counsel for the defendants are typically highly skilled and knowledgeable. Our firm values taking care of one’s mental health and understands the toll that COVID-19 has taken on many people in our community. We were proud to announce our #ColourMeHappy initiative wherein we sent out mindfulness colouring books to anyone who requested one for themselves or for a loved one. We hope that we brightened up everyone’s day with this initiative, and thank you to all for participating.
Being compassionate is at the heart of who we are at Nicholson Gluckstein Lawyers. To that end, we were proud to have hosted our annual Compassion Fatigue Conference in May. The theme of this year’s virtual conference was ‘A Community of Caring,’ wherein our focus was on self-care and resilience. The conference gave us a chance to honour the compassionate members of our community who dedicate themselves to taking care of others. Nurses, especially over the past year, have dedicated their work to care for the people in need. We felt it was our need to take care of a few extraordinary nurses, which is why from May 10 to May 16, 2021, Nicholson Gluckstein Lawyers celebrated National Nursing Week in a special way. To honor and acknowledge the critical role nurses play in caring for our community, we provided an opportunity for our community members to nominate a nurse who has made a special impact in some way. Thank you to everyone who participated!
We are proud to announce our Lead by Example Scholarship! Our firm highly values education and we are excited to give back to a student pursuing a higher education.
