About Lynn Parker
Ms. Parker is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of insurance. Her recent experience has been in the role of Insurance Consultant working closely with legal counsel on both Statutory Accident Benefits (SABS) and tort. With over thirty-five years of experience in Litigation Management, Claims Resolution and Claims Management, she has served in many roles throughout her career, including management roles in Head Office Claims.
Ms. Parker completed her certification in Life Care Planning through the Intellicus/University of Florida, following which she was instrumental in the development of the first Canadian program for Certification in Life Care Planning.
During her tenure in the insurance industry, she has been a member of several panels/boards including:
- Canadian Claims Manager Association
- Facility Claims Committee
- The International Commission Health Care Certifications
- Insurance Bureau of Canada
She graduated from Queen’s University with a BA in psychology. She received her MBA and continues further study towards an M.Ed. in counselling at the University of Ottawa. She obtained a Certificate of Completion of a course on Mediating Disputes from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School Executive Education.
Over the years, she has presented to many groups involved in the claims/litigation field and several presentations to the Anti-Fraud Task Force in Ontario. Her superior technical and analytical skills in both claims management in litigation and rehabilitation have been the key to her success in claims resolution.
